Harrison Davies

Niles- Private family services will be held at a later date for Harrison Davies who died Sunday at his residence. Harrison was born February 6, 1923 in Niles the son of Harrison and Mary (Jenkins) Davies and was a life long area resident. Harrison retired in 1985 from the City of Niles where he was a mechanic for 37 years. He was of the Presbyterian faith, WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Asiatic Pacific and European Theater. He was a 61 year member of the Nile McKinley Masonic Lodge F&AM. Harrison loved to travel, traveling around the world twice, he enjoyed being a mechanic, working on Drag Race cars. He also collected aluminum tabs for Akron's Children's Hospital and the Telephone Workers of America. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Layman) Davies whom he married December 8, 1948, daughters; Becky (Jim) Groves of Hagerstown, Maryland, Patty Mikula of Garrettsville, Pam (Kevin) Todd of New Waterford, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
