HARRY J. CLAY, 95 CANFIELD-There will be Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Canfield Chapel for Harry J. Clay, 95, who died early Saturday morning at St. John's Specialty Care Centre in Mars, PA. Mr. Clay was born June 9, 1919 in Canfield, the son of Vernon and Anna Bartholomew Clay. Harry was an Assembly Man for Wean United for 21 years, retiring in 1981. Harry was a 1937 graduate of Canfield High School. He was a member of Canfield Christian Church and the A.A.R.P. Harry enjoyed traveling and tending a large garden but his greatest joy was being on the farm, chopping and splitting wood. Mr. Clay's first wife, the former Mary Rita Delzell, whom he married June 14, 1950, died December 14, 1977. His second wife, the former Mary M. Lake, whom he married April 25, 1980, died January 13, 1991. Harry's third wife, the former Edna Zeigler, whom he married October 13, 1992, died October 10, 2013. Mr. Clay is survived by his son, Thomas R. (Linda J.) Clay of Prospect, PA; his daughter, Karen J. (Roger L.) Moore of Portsmouth, OH and his granddaughters, Michelle Elise Clay and Jennifer Rita Clay. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the Service.
