Harry J. Macdonald Jr.

Services will be 1 pm Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Harry J. MacDonald, 63, of Canfield Twp. who passed away Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center E.R. Austintown. Harry was born April 10, 1942 in Youngstown the son of Harry J. Sr. and Marion Edith (Ward) MacDonald. He was a life long area resident and a 1960 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Harry was a Police Officer with Austintown for 32 years until his retirement in 1993. He was protestant by faith, a member of the F.O.P., the Retired Police Officers, and the Masons Lodge #765 in North Jackson. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Harry leaves his wife the former Nancy Hoover whom he married April 17, 1971, one sister Kathleen Vinion of Austintown, and his two dogs Missy Ann and Maggie Mae. Besides his parents, one niece; Kathleen “Missy” Vinion and one nephew; James David Vinion preceded Harry in death. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Thursday and from noon until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
