Helen A. Darby

Niles- Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel for Helen A. Darby, age 81 who died Thursday morning at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles. Helen was born March 5, 1929 in Youngstown and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Borosko) Bezilla. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church. Her husband, Donald J. Darby, Sr. whom she married Oct. 21, 1946 died March 18, 2003. Helen leaves a daughter Dottie L. (Jack) Bickerstaff of Mineral Ridge, three sons, Donald J. (Irene) Darby Jr. of Mineral Ridge, James A. (Jenifer) Darby of Andover, David R. (Sharon) Darby of Howland, three sisters Louise (Carl) King of Cortland, Rita McKenny of Youngstown, Fran (Paul) Foit of Ravenna, a brother Joseph Bezilla of Berlin Center, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Steve (Rich) Bezilla and two granddaughters Mandy Bickerstaff and Rhonda Warner. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 PM Sunday.
