Helen A. Gregorich

Helen A. Gregorich of Brookfield, Ohio, died at 7:40AM Saturday (10-18-2008) at the O'Brien Memorial Home. She was 94. Mrs. Gregorich was born in Cabin Creek, West Virginia on March 08, 1914, a daughter of Joe and Mary (Oross) Kurtos. Helen married Frank "Crip" Gregorich on October 26, 1935. Helen stayed active throughout her life and had worked for three years for the John XXIII Home, Hermitage, as well as belonged to the Alter Society at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Farrell. She currently a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Vienna, Ohio. She had also been a member of the Farrell Band Mothers as well as the P.T.A.. Most recently Mrs. Gregorich had worked as a cook at the Brookfield Diner until her retirement in 1983. Survivors include her special son, Dave Jenkins and his wife Cherie, Vienna Twp., Ohio; her two grandchildren, Robert Gregorich Jr. of Jackson, MS and Helene Hawkins of New Orleans, LA; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Frank in 1969; by her son Robert S. Gregorich in 1997; and by five brothers and five sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday (10-22-2008) at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Frank Zanni, Pastor. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 9-10:15 AM at the Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, corner of Rt. 7 & old Rt. 82, Brookfield. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Farrell, Pennsylvania.
