Austintown- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Helen A. Pew, age 94 of Humility House in Austintown, formerly of North Jackson who died early Tuesday morning at Humility House. Helen was born Oct. 5, 1911 in Deshler, OH and was raised by her adopted parents Raleigh and Alice Hoff. Helen was a graduate nurse of Alliance City Hospital School of Nursing and a member of the First Federated Church and former member of the Jackson-Milton P.T.A. She loved her family and enjoyed crocheting, quilting and watching birds. Helen’s beloved husband Andrew Pew whom she married Jan. 18, 1932 died in 1985. She is survived by a daughter Virginia (Richard) Lehotsky of North Jackson, a son Kenneth (Judith) Pew of Strongsville, OH and five grandchildren, Jeffery (Dr. Lisa) Pew, Todd (Julia) Pew, Cristyn (Todd) Kocsis, Tim (Elizabeth) Lehotsky and Robin (Alan) Langguth. She also leaves nine great grandchildren Lacey (Jeff) Margolis, Aaron Langguth, Christopher and Adrienne Lehotsky, Kenneth, Carter, Tyler and Emily Pew and Coral Kocsis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Ira. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 AM Thursday prior to services. The family requests that material contributions be made to Humility House at 755 Ohltown Rd. in Austintown.
