Helen Bertolini

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11;00 AM on Monday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church for Helen (nee Bertin) who was reunited with her husband Attilio May 25th. She is the mother of Carolyn (Lawrence) Varner, Francis (Georgiana) Bertolini, and Juanita (Paul) Sherba; Nonna of Jeremy (Tracy), Rebecca (Paul), Adam, Noah, Adrianne (Vincent), Rachel, Sarah and Bisnonna of Camille, Elena, and Gabrielie. She is also survived by many extended family members. Helen was born and raised in Cleveland, where she married Attilio in 1943. After the war, they moved to Youngstown and then Canfield where she raised her three children. Recently she had lived at the Inn at Christine Valley and leaves behind many wonderful and supportive friends from there. Helen was an active member of St. Michael's Church and an avid reader who loved to discuss her thoughts and ideas. For many of us, she was one of the last links to her generation and she will be missed as much for what she represented as for who she was. She passed away at St. Elizabeth's Hospital at the age of 90. Family and friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
