Helen C. Fill

Mrs. Helen C. Fill of Masury, OH, died on Wednsday (04-22-2009) at 8:15PM at her daughters home in Wilmington, North Carolina after a brief illness. She was 94 years old. Mrs. Fill was born in Sharon, PA on February 23, 1915, a daughter of Michael and Mary (Dzurichko) Mittal. Helen went on to marry William Joseph Fill on October 23, 1940 and together they shared seventeen years of marriage. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Masury, OH, a member of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima Church, and the Craft Group at the New Hanover Senior Center in North Carolina. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, listening to Polka Music and enjoying Danny O'Donnell. Above all she loved being with her family and friends and meeting new people. She is survived by her daughter Norene Ferko and her husband Andrew of Wilmington, NC; her brother George Mittal of Masury, OH; her sister-in-law Ann Mittal of Farrell, PA; God-Daughters Joanne Meckler, and Bernadette Holt; and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William on March 23, 1958; her brothers Michael, Andrew, Albert, John, and Joseph Mittal; her sisters Mary Ferry, Anne Vojtko, Agnes McPoyle, and Cecilia Bator; and her god-daughter Sister Rita Ferry H.H.M.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with Rev. Frank Zanni, Pastor. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in Farrell, PA. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests contributions can be made to St. Bernadette Church.
