Helen G Robinson

Helen G. Robinson, of Warren, passed away in the morning hours of Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in her daughter's home in Girard. She was 93 years old. Mrs. Robinson was born on June 22, 1917 in Shenandoah, Virginia the daughter of the late Ellis and Mary (Foster) Smeltzer. Mrs. Robinson retired from Hills Department Store after working there for more than 15 years. She was currently working up until a month ago at Headstart in Warren as a librarian. Mrs. Robinson was awarded the oldest employee in Trumbull County honor. She enjoyed cross stitch and crocheting. Mrs. Robinson was a 60 year member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Warren. Mrs. Robinson is survived by three children Lawrence (Joanne) Robinson of Cortland, Myron (Joan) Robinson of Yantis, TX and Rebecca (Vincent) Mariano of Girard; eleven grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death on November 29, 1979 by her husband Louis L. Robinson whom she married on December 18, 1935; two daughters Barbara and Nina Robinson; one sister; a granddaughter Amy Wolfe and a great grandson John Paul Robinson. Calling hours will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 9 until 9:45 a.m. in Christ Memorial Baptist Church, 2711 Youngstown Road SE, Warren. A Funeral Service Celebrating Helen's life will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the church with Pastors Gary Mariano and David Luther co-officiating. Burial will follow in Girard City Cemetery.
