Helen I Bridgens

Helen I. (Hardy) Bridgens, age 87, of Cortland, Ohio, died Sunday, December 18, 2005, at 1:38 PM at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio She was born on March 18, 1918 in Cortland, the daughter of the late James Hardy and the late Julia (Hadsell) Hardy. A lifetime Cortland resident, Mrs. Bridgens enjoyed spending time with her family and spent most of her life working as a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Willard J. Bridgens, whom she married on August 17, 1940 She is also survived by her Two Daughters, Jeanine L. (Ike) Isaacson of Cortland and Jeri L. (Brian) Beaumont of Geneva, Ohio Three Sons, Jay L. (Linda) Bridgens of Cheswick, Pa., Jack L. Bridgens of Mecca, Ohio and Jim L. (Iris) Bridgens of Madison, Ohio 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild She was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Hardy and Marlen Hardy Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Funeral service will be at Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2005 with the Rev. Jane Stout officiating.
