Helen I. Skinner

Helen I. Crawford Skinner, 89, of Warren, passed away Jan. 5, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley, Howland. She was born Feb. 8, 1923, in Cortland, the daughter of Reed and Hazel Spencer. Helen was a graduate of Cortland High School and retired from Ohio Lamp, in 1969 after 23 years of service. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by her son Gary (Deborah) Crawford, of Howland, a step-son; Harold Crawford, of Elyria, a sister; Virginia (Frank) Stein, of Cortland, two brothers; Richard Spencer, of Warren and Gordon (Fay) Spencer, of MO, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by both of her husbands; Owen I. Crawford and Otis C. Skinner, three brothers; Fred, Bob and Ben Spencer, a step-son, John Crawford, a sister Marlene Rufener. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 11:00AM, at Cortland Trinity Baptist Church. Interment will be at Paradise Lutheran Cemetery.
