Helen J Engle 95 Salem: Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 9, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad St., Canfield Chapel for Helen J Engle 95, formerly of Berlin Center , who died Tuesday evening at Grace Woods Senior Living. Helen was born on January 22, 1919 in Berlin Center, a daughter of the late Joseph and Austia (Klingeman) Renkenberger. She attended Berlin Center High school and along with her husband had operated a farm. Helen was a homemaker and later was employed by Sheely's Furniture Store. She was a member of Berlin United Methodist Church and the Historical Society. Helen had a passion for quilting, making Yo Yo quilts, pillows and baby quilts for all of her loved ones and many others. Helen's husband of 56 years, Kennett D. Engle, whom she married June 9, 1937, died April 4, 1993. She will be sadly missed by her children Darlene (Delbert) Mix of Berlin Center, Betty Jones of Salem, and daughter-in- law Sandy (Jim) Brown of BerlinCenter, nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great great. grandchildren. Beside her parents and husband Helen was preceded in death by her son Richard D. Engle, a sister, Lone Powers and two brothers Darryl and Myron Renkenberger. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm at Lane Family Funeral Homes Canfield Chapel and again Saturday from 10-11am, prior to the Service.
