Helen Jane Darby

Services will be 9 AM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Helen Jane Darby, 68, of Austintown who passed away Friday at her home. Helen was born September 9, 1939 in Austintown the daughter of George William and Bertha Mae (Robinett) Hern and was a life long area resident. She retired from the Scale House at the BFI Landfill in 2002 and continued to work in the exercise room at Central Park West Apartments until her illness would not allow her to work anymore. Helen was a member of Ohltown United Methodist Church, and her hobbies included reading and sewing. Helen enjoyed the time she spent with her family especially her cousins and would get together with them every month just to talk, and she also traveled with them. Helen leaves two children; Randall Darby of Girard, and Diana Lynn Buckner of Austintown, one grandson; Joseph Adam Darby of Austintown, and one sister Commilla Rich of Austintown. Besides her parents, Helen is preceded in death by a granddaughter Dawn A. Poore. Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
