Helen K. Shotts

Austintown- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday at the Wickcliffe Presbyterian Church for Helen Shotts who died Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Helen was born August 22, 1920 in Youngstown the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Cleevely) Kerr. Mrs. Shotts is a member of the Wickcliffe Presbyterian Church where she had been choir director for 25 years. She had also been Jr. Choir director at Brownlee Woods Church for 7 years, director of Mothers Singers Choir Group, graduate of Struthers High School and a WWII Navy veteran. She is survived by her husband Myron whom she married June 25, 1945, daughter Bonnie L. and Michael Hofstetter of Middlefield Ohio, grandchildren Michael Hofstetter, Heather Hofstetter and great grandchildren Phoenix and Arianna Ladow. She was preceded in death by sisters Gertrude, Ida, Mae, Eva, brothers Raymond, Harry and her great grandson Elias Taylor. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of donations to the church.
