Helen Pollock Koches, 96, of 620 Griffin Ave. Lady Lake, FL, and formerly of Warren, died at Lady Lake Specialty Care, Lady Lake, FL. on October 30. Mrs. Koches was born June 8, 1914 in Seminole, PA, the daughter of Charles F. and Edna McEntire Pollock. A resident of Trumbull County for most of her life, she was raised in Niles, Ohio and graduated from Niles McKinley High School. She worked at Packard Electric, The Griswold Company, and with her husband, Joseph Koches, built Prestwick Golf Course in Cortland, where they resided for many years. She attended the Howland Community Church, was a golfer, and mastered the art of cross-stitch. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Beardsley (William) of Hot Springs Village, AR, and Carole Martin (David) of The Villages, FL. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Bill Beardsley (Terry), Robert Beardsley (Colleen), Cynthia Beardsley Mydlach (Mark), Sue Ellen Swift Salsbury (Scott), Bridgette Swift Chesne Greig), and John Swift. She leaves eleven great grandchildren, a niece, Barbara Grace of Howland, nephew Charles Pollock of Massachusetts, and sister-in-law, Mary E. Pollock of Niles. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, brother Lawrence Pollock and sisters Elizabeth Halverson, Lois Sgambati, and Aldene Grise. Family and friends will be received Friday evening from 6 until 8PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Brian Byrne will conduct a funeral service Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 at 10AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park. Material tributes may be made to the Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Rd., Warren, OH 44484.
