Helen M. Dallas, 92, of Warren passed away peacefully at 2:13 AM Thursday Feb. 4, 2010 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Dec. 18, 1917 in Hometown, PA the daughter of the late Nicholas and Edith (Benninger) Jacobs. She moved from Pennsylvania to Newton Falls in 1952 and then to Warren in 1956. A loving homemaker, Helen was a member of St. James Catholic Church of Warren. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking pictures. She also was an avid sports fan- especially of Warren G. Harding and the New York Yankees. Her husband George J. Dallas whom she married Dec. 12, 1933 preceded her in death September 17, 1981. She also was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Jacobs and by a sister Agnes Lechner. Helen will be sadly missed by her 3 children, Nancy A. Genchur of Newton Falls, Donald R. Dallas of Warren, and Richard G. and wife Dianna Dallas of Cortland. She also leaves 5 grandchildren; Valerie Rundle, James M. Genchur, Cindy Young, Robin Dallas, Richard A. Dallas, 9 great grandchildren; Matthew, Ryan, and Zach Rundle, Michael Genchur, Amanda Borowski, Katelyn Douce, Heather and Jerry Wilkerson, Bryce Richard Dallas, a niece Shirley Lechner of Warren and her beloved cat "Missi". The Rev. Charles Crumbley will conduct a mass of Christian burial11:00 AM Saturday Feb. 6, 2010 at St. James Church where friends will be received from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. The family suggests material contributions be made to the Animal Welfare League. 545 Brunstetter Rd. Warren, OH 44481-9600.
