Helen Naomi Dunch

Helen Naomi Dunch, 76, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 22, 1937 in Sharon, PA to the late, William C. Hartwick and Gladys (Henniger) Risher. Helen retired from Packard Electric after 30 years, and was a member of the UAW Local 717 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Ladies Auxiliary Lodge #1012. She was very active in bowling, cornhole and bocce leagues over the years and she enjoyed playing card games with her family and friends. She also enjoyed going to the casino and gambling and spending time outdoors gardening and working with her flowers. Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she loved to cook and feed everyone that she could. Helen was loyal and goodhearted and she will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Helen is survived by her two sons, Michael J. Dunch II of Howland and Robert G. Dunch, Jr. of Cortland; 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, William Hartwick and Alan Risher; and 3 sisters, Beverly Lorentsen, Linda Teetle and Wanda Becker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 36 years, Robert George Dunch, Sr. and son, Dale R. Dunch. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio, from 10:30A.M. to 12:30P.M., with the funeral service beginning at 12:30PM.
