Hermina M. Brungard Bokesch, age 87 passed away early Thursday morning at her residence. Hermina was born May 12, 1917 in Youngstown a daughter of Michael and Anna Orendt Polder. She was a secretary for the Youngstown School System for 20 years retiring in 1977 and had previously been an executive secretary for Cold Metal Products for 10 years. Hermina was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Youngstown Saxon Club, AARP, SERO, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is survived by three children: Bruce (Debbie) Brungard of Austintown, David (Margaret) Brungard of Panama City, FL, and Alice (Joe) Colella of Poland, OH; one sister Helen Mehl of Westerville, OH; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband George H. Brungard whom passed away July 7, 1986; two brothers Michael and Henry Polder; and two sisters Katherine Fellers and Anna Herman. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Zion Lutheran Church in Hermina’s name. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church where calling hours will be from 10-11 AM Saturday. Arrangements are being handled by Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
