There will be a private service for Homer T. Bequeath of Mineral Ridge who passed away April 15, 2004 at North Side Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1920, a son of Harry and Rachel (Richards) Bequeath. He was a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. He retired from the Erie and Conrail Railroad after serving 39 years. He served in WWII in Africa and Italy in the 5th Army Transportation Co. He enjoyed gardening and farming. Mr. Bequeath was a long-time faithful member of Highway Tabernacle Assemblies of God and was a supporter of a number of religious and charitable endeavors. He was a great husband and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maxine Pennell Bequeath, a son Lawrence (Mary Jane) Bequeath of Mineral Ridge, four grandchildren Cara (David) Bowman of Texas; Rebecca, Lawrence Jr. and Benjamin all of Mineral Ridge; three brothers Russel, Ellis (Yolanda) and Adam (Loretta) all of Mineral Ridge; two sisters Charlotte Daniels of Champion and Eunice (Phil) Richley of Austintown, and three great grandchildren Luke, Kyle, and Lily Bowman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Garfield who was killed while serving in WW II in Italy. Pastor Joel Theis, his nephew, will officiate. Burial will be at Kerr Cemetery.
