Howard L. Sahli Sr. Newton Falls- Howard L. Sahli Sr., 70 died Sat. Aug. 9, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. Mr. Sahli was born August 4, 1944 in Youngstown, the son of the late Dean and Clara (Weeks) Sahli. Howard was a 1964 graduate of Jackson Milton High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp., including the Vietnam War. He was a pipefitter (skilled trades) for many years. He retired from GM after 18 years of work. He belonged to American Legion Lake Milton, Amvets and VFW in Newton Falls. Howard loved football and played in high school, he also loved his racing pigeons. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports and rarely missed a game. He was a proud member of USMC and shared a bond with his corp. brothers. He was well known and loved by many. He will be missed by all. Our memories of him will be cherished forever. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Sharon (Patrick) Sahli, his two sons Howard "Zak" (Amber) Sahli Jr. of Parma, William "Bill" (Tracy) Sahli of Lake Milton, six grandchildren Justin, Taylor, Nathan, Camryn, Coral and Cecelia, brothers James Sahli of Austintown, William (Judy) Sahli of Bristtleville, and Robert (Mary Jo) Sahli of Ravenna, sisters Faye Marciano of Austintown, Sandra (Donnie) Ambrose of Youngstown, Peggy Sahli of Maryland and Mae Santiago of Puerta Rico, brother-in-laws Rick Patrick of Lake Milton and David Patrick of Canfield, sister-in-law Trina Patrick of Lake Milton as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dean and Clara Sahli, infant daughter, sister Lillian Satterella, brother Myron Sahli, sister in law Ralona Vaynes and mother in law Patricia Carver. Friends and family may pay their respects at the American Legion Lake Milton, Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., on Saturday August 16, 2014 from 1-4pm, with a service at 1pm and lunch to follow. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel (330) 744-2289
