Howard W. Goist Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Howard W. Goist Jr., 87, of Girard who passed away Friday, September 15, at his home. Howard was born April 9, 1930 in Hubbard the son of Howard Sr. and Lucille (Howden) Goist. He was a graduate of Liberty High School class of 1948 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Howard retired in 1990 from General Fire Proofing where he worked on the finish assembly line as a drawer finisher. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3298 in Austintown and a member of AARP. Howard leaves his wife of 45 years, the former Gayle Eloise Lynn, Whom he married February 24, 1972, three children, Randall (Lisa Maiolino) Goist, Rodney Goist, and Julie (John) Allen, all in Florida, one sister Nancy Pauley of Liberty, one brother David (Mary Lou) Goist of Girard, two grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces, great nephews. Friends may call from 11 AM until 1 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel where services will be held at 1 PM.
