Ida E. "Betty" Ware, 88, of Howland Twp. passed away peacefully at 3:00 PM Tuesday Aug. 29, 2011with her family at her side at Community Skilled Health Care Center after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born Nov.20, 1922 in Warren the daughter of Carl and Olive (Mathe) Cooper. A lifetime area resident, Betty was a 1941 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and was employed as a customer service representative for Ohio Edison for 30 years retiring in 1984. She was a lifetime member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church of Warren where she was very active. She enjoyed golf, bowling, sewing, traveling and most of all spending time with her family. Her husband of 33 years Donald B. Ware whom she married Oct.8, 1949 preceded her in death March 11, 1983. She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter Kelly Dahringer and by a brother Carl Cooper. Betty will be sadly missed by her daughter Deborah (Thomas) Dahringer of Howland, granddaughter Kim (Andrew) O'Neil of Columbus, great grandson Beckett O'Neil, and sister-in-law Emily Cooper of Warren. There will be a memorial service 11:00 AM Saturday Sept.3, 2011 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received for 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. David Robert Black will officiate. Betty will be cremated and her ashes will be placed next to her husband at Crown Hill Burial Park. The family suggests material contributions be made to the Calvary Presbyterian Church 119 Laird Ave. NE Warren, OH 44483.
