Ida Rose Burns

Private services were held in December for Ida Rose Fossaceca Burns, 85, who passed away December 15, 2007 in Shepard of the Valley in Boardman. Ida was born March 3, 1922 in Youngstown the daughter of Carlo and Rosa (Marinelli) Fossaceca. She was a 1940 graduate of East High School and had worked J.C. Penney and Schween Wagner Photographer in downtown Youngstown in the 1940s and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge # 3298 in Youngstown. Her husband Herbert Burns, whom she married September 23, 1950, passed away January 14, 1999. She is survived by her son; Thomas Burns of Columbus, a daughter; Karen Burns of Boardman, two grandchildren Krishni and Orion Burns of Columbus, and one brother; Carl Fossececa of Girard. Besides her husband and parents, Ida is preceded in death by three brothers; Stephen and Frank Fossaceca and Joseph Foss, as well as three sisters; Angeline Kolk, Anne Seefred, and Victoria Ontko. She will be missed by her children and grandchildren who loved her very much. There were no public calling hours. Arrangements were by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
