Irene B Zofko

Irene B. Zofko, 92 of Warren passed at 6:29pm Saturday October 9, 2010 in the emergency room at St. Joseph Health Center. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania on August 1, 1918, Irene is the daughter of the late John and Suzanne (Kozar) Bruzik. A lifetime area resident, Irene graduated from Sharon High School; was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, Warren where she took part in the Ruth Group. Irene and her husband were real estate agents for many years together. She was a charter member of the Warren Emblem Club #397, past president of the Emblem Club Golf League and enjoyed playing bridge. She married her husband Steve Zofko on June 25, 1938. Together they shared over 60 years of marriage and two daughters; Irene Moore of Warren and Carol Zofko of Daytona Beach, Florida both of whom who survive her. Also surviving Irene are five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Steve and four sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be 11am on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren with the Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10am until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Pineview Memorial Park, Warren.
