Irma Locke

Irma Locke a longtime resident of Estero, Florida died peacefully on October 17, 2019 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Born in 1925 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1944 and continued her education at the Choffin School of Nursing receiving her LPN certification. Irma worked as an LPN at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1985. Irma married her husband, Bernard G. Locke, Sr. in 1944, with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage prior to his death in 2007. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Irma volunteered as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #155 and Park View Rebekah Lodge #719, of Canfield, Ohio, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, completing word puzzles, going to movies and plays with her friends. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She is survived by her two sons: Bernard G. Locke, Jr. (Nancy), of North Jackson, Ohio; and Kenneth Russell Locke (Ruth), of Cape Coral, Florida. A daughter Sharyl Jane Locke and an infant son Richard Paul Locke preceded her in death. Irma also leaves behind her sister Marian Moore of North Royalton, two grand-daughters: Suzanne Locke (Jason) of Salem, and Victoria McFarland (John) of Austintown, a grandson: Eric Locke, Sr. (Savannah) of Niles, and five Great-Grand Children: Branden, Cassandra, Kara, Grace, and Eric Jr. Friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel and noon until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the Service at 1:00pm.
