Isabelle Blair

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday at St. Brendan’s Church for Isabelle Blair of Youngstown who died Sunday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mrs. Blair was born April 20, 1925 in Youngstown the daughter of Adam and Mary (McGowan) Chesney. Mrs. Blair had been employed by the Youngstown City Schools and retired as an inspector from General Electric Plant in Youngstown. She was a member of the church, the Saxon Club Branch 22 and attended Woodrow Wilson high school. She is survived by three daughters; Mary Kathleen Koma of Youngstown, Karen Wydick of New Springfield, Doreen (Mike) Deutschlander of Canfield, eight grandchildren; Kimberly King, David Koma, Dawn Montella, Peter Koma, Thomas and Brian Wydick, Amy and Michael Deutschlander and two great grandchildren Mindy Koma and Nicole King. She also was survived by her loving sister in law and brother in law Marilyn and William Blair of Lakeland FL., numerous nieces and nephews and her cherished cat “Bootsie”. Her husband Thomas F. Blair whom she married May 17, 1947 died September 28, 2003; three bothers Joseph, William, Robert Chesney and three sisters Mary Louise Adams, Dorothy Galbreath and Betty Lou Fossaccceca preceded Mrs. Blair in death. Friends and family may call from 5-8 PM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
