J Ruth Jicha

J. Ruth (Knight) Jicha, age 85, of Warren died Monday afternoon, October 20, 2008, of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. She was born March 2, 1923 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas the daughter of the late Hugh Knight and Edna (McNeely) Knight Vickery. Ruth served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and was a homemaker most of her life. She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca A. Mason with whom she made her home and Jennie K. Atkins of Orwell; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; one brother, George Vickery and one sister, Faye McVay both of Memphis, Tenn. Her husband, James Frank Jicha, whom she married May 24, 1944 and three brothers and two sisters all preceded in death. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, where the family will hold private calling hours and a private funeral service on Friday, October 24, 2008. Burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Park in Champion Township.
