Jack E. Hutchison "Hutch"

Jack E. Hutchison, "Hutch", age 89 of Austintown, Ohio, died on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 4:50 AM at his home. He was born on June 9, 1926 in Wellston, Ohio, the son of the late Olin Hutchison and Ruth Burley Hutchison Gatts. Jack was a high school graduate and a WWII US Navy Veteran. He was a retired general superintendent from General Motors-Lordstown after 34 years of service. He enjoyed many things, he belonged to the GM Golf Leagues, GM Bowling Leagues and other bowling leagues as well. He started the GM Retirees Club. Hutch was President of the Lordstown Angels C-B Club, "Old Buddy" was his handle. Jack was also a member of the Canfield Lion's Club since 1982 and was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow Award. Hutch was also a Mason for 66 years and a 32nd Degree Mason and belonged to the Argus Lodge since 1965. He also was a member of the Sebring Country Club. Survivors include his wife, the fomer Mary L. Treharn, whom he married on February 9, 1985; his step-children, William (Elaine) Clipse, and Pamela (Richard) Spears all of Austintown; grandchildren, Daniel (Bri Ray) Clipse, Matthew (Jen Demler) Clipse, Jacob Spears, Lillian Spears, and Julie (Clifford) Hutchison-Adams; one great-grandson, Jared Hutchison-Adams; his nephew, John (Connie) Hutchison of Missouri; his sister-in-law, Rita Hutchison of Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Joann Hutchison of Canfield. Other than his parents, Hutch was preceded in death by his son, Jack J. Hutchison; his step-father, Ray Gatts; and one brother, Robert Hutchison. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 5530 New Road, Austintown, Ohio 44515, where Pastor Tom Dooley will celebrate Jack's life. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10 AM until the time of the service. Family and friends may visit at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel from 5:00 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 23, 2015. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the church building fund in Jack's memory.
