Jacqueline B. Smith, 80, of Warren, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 25, 2010 at Imperial Skilled Nursing Center after an extended illness. Born December 4, 1929 in Niles, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Brawdy and Ethel (Snyder) Brawdy Wortman. Jackie was a lifetime area resident retiring in 1986 from Trumbull Lamp where she worked for many years. She enjoyed music and bowling but most of all she enjoyed her family and especially adored her grandchildren. Always putting the needs of others before her own, Jackie took care of everyone and was known for her kindness and generosity. Jackie was of the protestant faith. She will be dearly missed by her four children, Nancy Smith of Southington, Diane (John) Tanner of Cortland, Judy (Charles) Jaskiewicz and Paul Smith both of Warren, three grandchildren, Marie Tanner, Angelique McKowen and Wayne Byard, and two great grandchildren, Lucy and Drew McKowan. Jackie was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband David E. Smith whom she married July 25, 1953, by a brother Ted Brawdy, and grandson Matthew Tanner. A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel at 8PM where family and friends may visit for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Concluding funeral service, cremation will take place and burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jacqueline's memory to the Southington Volunteer Fire Department at 4361 State Route 305 Southington, OH 44470.
