James B. Quimby

Youngstown- A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 PM Saturday (June 17) at Smith Corners United Methodist Church in Austintown for James B. Quimby, age 71 of Shepherd of the Valley, formerly of Florida Ave. in Youngstown died Sunday (June 4) morning at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles. Jim was born May 14, 1935 in Youngstown and was the son of the late Laverne and Rosa (Draper) Bert. He had formerly worked at Youngstown Steel Door and had enjoyed traveling. Jim is survived by a daughter Deanna L. Leslie and his siblings, Ruth (William) McCoy of Fowler, Donald (Elizabeth) Quimby of Austintown, Dorothy Campbell of Niles, Howard Rogers of Youngstown, Josephine Pollo of Poland, Barbara Ann of Virginia, Betty Jean of Cleveland and three grandchildren. He was preceded in dearth by two sisters Mary O’Donnell, Pearl Freeland and two brothers Edgar Allen and Robert Quimby. There are no calling hours and the family requests that material contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel in charge of arrangements.
