James E. Hunter

AUSTINTOWN- James E. Hunter Jr., 86, passed away on Monday July 28, 2014. He was born in Youngstown, OH on April 6, 1928 to the late James Sr. and Maude Hunter. James was a U.S. Army Veteran and went on to work at Hynes Industries. He also worked on the family dairy farm. His hard work and strict work ethic earned him the title "workaholic." James enjoyed spending his free time gardening and bird watching. James liked taking trips to see the horse races at Waterford Park- aka Mountaineer Racetrack. He will also be remembered as an avid OSU and Cleveland sports fan. But his biggest passion in life was supporting and caring for his family. Left to mourn James' passing are his children, William (Joann) Hunter, Susan (George) Pavlina, James Hunter III, Lynn Ann Hunter, and Jeffrey (Kim) Hunter; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Duane, Jessica, Lindsay, Gina, Cody, and Brooke; his 8 great-grandchildren; his niece, Cynthia Lawrence; and his brother, Kenneth Hunter. James is preceded in death by his loving wife, Georgina (Brace) Hunter; his sisters, Nadine, Clarabell, Mina, and Nancy; and his brother Walter. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 1, from 10:30-11:30AM at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. A funeral service will follow calling hours at 11:30AM. Interment to take place at Canfield East Cemetery.
