YOUNGSTOWN--- Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Mr. James E. Stamm,Sr.,67, of 112 N. Richview Ave. who died Friday evening at his residence following a short illness. Mr. Stamm was born August 25, 1934 in Baltimore, MD, the son of Roland H. and Dora (Clark) Stamm and came to this area as a young man. James had worked for the U. S. Steel Corp. as a millwright 20 years retiring in 1982. He was a Navy veteran. He is survived by his stepmother, Linda Stamm, of Baltimore, MD. who raised him, and his first wife, Norma J. Morris Stamm, of Youngstown, two daughters, Helen M. Stanley of Austintown and Carrie M. Stamm of Youngstown, three sons, James E. Jr. and John R. Stamm both of Austintown and Joseph C. Stamm of North Jackson. and six step children. James is also survived by a sister, Virginia Cunningham of Baltimore, step-sisters, Joan Zable of PA, Jean Avery of VA and brothers, Roland Stamm of Youngstown and step-brothers, Frank, Charles and Roy all of MD., 11 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and 5 great step-grandchildren. His second wife, Janet I. (Cribley) Stamm, sister, Helen Stamm, Evelyn Deiner and Doris Morris and stepbrothers Albert and James Shriver preceded him in death. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
