James H. Allen, 79 Bethpage, TN.- Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for James H. Allen of Bethpage, TN., formally of Youngstown who passed away Saturday morning at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, TN. James was born October 26,1923 in Dover, Ohio a son of Howard & Hettie (Crow) Allen and came to this area as a young adult. He was an Operating Engineer with several local contractors until his retirement in 1988. James was a World War II veteran and a member of VFW post 2799. He was also member of the Mount Moriah Lutheran Church in Berlin Center for 42 years, and Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Bethpage for 2 years, and the National Association for Civilian Conservation Corp. chapter 57, IUOE Retirees Club Local #66, and Combat Veteran Association. His wife, the former Dorothy Eileen Engstrom, whom he married July 6,1946 passed away April 6,1990. James is survived by three daughters, Sandra (Ronnie) Hood of Corbin KY., Vicky Hamner of Warren, and Deborah Panczko of Bethpage, TN., two sons, Terry (Connie) Allen of Gallatin TN., and Rex (Kathy) Allen of Boardman, twelve grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, James is preceded in death by Two brothers John, and Donald, and a sister Marian Mears. Friends and Family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday and 1-2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
