James Hal Johnson - 69 Struthers - Funeral services will be 6 pm Tuesday at Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel for James Hal Johnson who passed away Friday morning at the Hospice House, after a short battle with lung caner. Hal was born September 13, 1942 in Youngstown a son of the late Adam and Emma (Evans) Johnson. A 1960graduate of Fitch High School, he played trumpet in the United States Army Military Band in Germany. He worked at GATX making tank cars, played in the Warren Junior Military Band and enjoyed listening to Drum and Bugle Corps. Hal was also a master woodworker. He will be sadly missed by his wife the former Sally Domagalski, whom he married September 25, 1993; one son Michael Johnson of Youngstown; one daughter Cynthia Lou Domagalski of Struthers; one sister Margarett Hegel of Hubbard; one brother Adam "Butch" Johnson of Mineral Ridge; and one grandson Brandon Domagalski. Besides his parents, Hal is predeceased by a son David Hal Johnson and a sister Marilyn Love. Friends may call from 4 pm until 6 pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the services.
