James L. Fincham

Austintown- Memorial services celebrating the life of James L. Fincham will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church 421 Covington St. Youngstown, Ohio. James was born February 4, 1944 in Gilmer, W. VA. the son of John R. and Helen (Collins) Fincham. Jim was a member of the church; he retired from General Motors in 1994 where he had worked on the assembly line. Jim was a member of the Saxon Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles and former member of the Catholic War Vets. He served in the US Army from 1961 to 1964. He was an avid golfer, member of YSU Penguins Club and was involved with the Austintown Little League for 12 years. His greatest joy in life was his family especially his grandchildren. Jim is survived by his wife, Janet (McKay) Fincham whom he married February 19, 1966, children; Jim (Genna) Fincham of Elkins, W.VA., John (Jodi) Fincham of Austintown, Jeffrey (Amanda) Fincham of Austintown and Joan (Bob) Bacha of Canfield. He is also survived by grandchildren; Jimmy, Amanda, Amy, Abby, Jessica Fincham, Chris Walker, Katelyn, Rosalie and Bobby Bacha, brothers and sisters; John Fincham of Tallmadge, Jack Fincham of Youngstown, Charlotte Hough of Salem, Shirley Fishel of Salem, Jewell Maillis of Campbell, Judy Yunek of Ogema, WI., Pat Patterson of Sebring and Amonda Jo Fishel of Youngstown. He was preceded in death by his parents. The Fincham family would like to thank Sister Rose Hubner for her help and compassion. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society in Jim's name.
