James L. Westenfelder, 86, of Parkwood Drive NW, Warren, died after a short illness Monday morning at 2:45 AM at the Washington Square Care Center in Warren. Born December 9, 1918 in Warren, he was the son of Albert and Pauline (Hatch) Westenfelder. A lifetime area resident and graduate of Chalker High School, Mr. Westenfelder served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired in 1975 from Trumbull Lamp where he worked for 37 years as a machinist and a supervisor. He was a member of the Southington American Legion Post #751, the Masonic Lodge, had worked as a TV repairman for many years, and enjoyed big band music. He married Doris R. (Memmers) on August 24, 1940. She preceded him in death May 26, 1985. He is survived by his wife, Olga (Lubianetzki) Westenfelder whom he married in December 11, 1985, a daughter, Marsha(Dan) Harvey of Phoenix, AZ, two sons, Keith O.(Judy) Westenfelder of Lordstown and Bruce J.(Kathleen) Westenfelder of Southington, 7 grandchildren; Brian Harvey, Jason, Jamie, Kristy, Bruce Jr., Derrick and Timothy Westenfelder, three great grandchildren; Isaac, Ethan and Ava, and two sisters, Evelyn Gimble and Lillian Dungan both of Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and a brother David Westenfelder. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lynn Nichols will officiate a funeral service on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Southington reformed cemetery.
