Jane A. Barr

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel with Pastor Leo Feher officiating for Jane Barr formerly of Kirk Rd. who died Saturday morning at Meridian Arms. Jane was born December 27, 1920 in Girard the daughter of Ross A. and Hazel (Gee) Hoopes and was a life long area resident. Jane was a member of Christ Church Presbyterian where she was formerly secretary of the Woman’s organization. She was Past President Alpha Iota International Society, graduate of Girard High School and Youngstown Business College. She was employed as a typist for General Fireproofing and had been a secretary for Trumbull Savings and Loan in Girard. She is survived by daughters; Sharon (Bob) Caswell of Boardman, Cheryl (Mark) Rozzo of Girard, son Robert B. (Candace) Barr Jr. of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert B. Barr Sr. whom she married October 10, 1942 died June 9, 2000, sister Norma Leskovec and granddaughter Heather Ann Caswell. Family and friends may call from Noon until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
