Jane Almira Johnston

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel for Jane Almira Johnston of 3379 State Rt. 46, Mineral Ridge who died Tuesday morning at Glen View Manor. Jane Almira was born Dec. 1, 1913 in Mineral Ridge, OH. A daughter of Leo and May (Bowen) Nass. She taught school for 10 years in Mineral Ridge, then as a lab tech at Republic Steel, a substitute teacher in Niles, and last a nurses aid in the Youngstown Alcoholic Clinic. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge, a Grange member, and was a member of Golden Glow Rebekah Lodge 608. She is survived by her son James David Johnston of Morristown, NJ, a sister Caroline Brown of Bruceton, TN, and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death in 1970 by her husband William Louis Johnston whom she married in 1952 and two brothers, Thomas and David Nass. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday. The family request tributes to the First Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge Building Fund.
