There will be Services at 11 a.m. Friday at First Covenant Church for Jane C. Sandin, 88, who passed away early Tuesday morning at The Inn at Poland Way. Jane was born January 1, 1930 in Youngstown, the daughter of Dwight G. and Anna M. Peterson Carlson. She was a 1947 graduate of Boardman High School. Jane was a home-maker and had previously been employed at United Engineering and GMAC. She was an active member of First Covenant Church where she was a member of the Choir, The Covenant Women and served on various committees. Jane loved spending time with her granddaughters and attending their events and activities. Her husband of 42 years, Robert J. Sandin, whom she married Nov. 7, 1953, died July 4, 1995. Jane is survived by her daughter, Gail (Tom) Demetruk of Boardman; her son, Kenneth (Jeanne) Sandin of Boardman and her granddaughters, Bailey Sandin, Sarah Demetruk and Jennifer Demetruk. Besides her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond M. and Gary E. Carlson. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman and 10-11 a.m. on Friday at the church, prior to the Service. Memorial contributions may be given to First Covenant Church, 5210 Glenwood Ave., Yo., OH 44512.
