Janet A. Miller

Janet A. Miller, 63, formerly of Howland Twp. died Wednesday, June 4th, peacefully of natural causes at her home in Powell, OH. She was born July 8, 1944 in Shreveport, LA the daughter of Richard and Hilda (Hinks) Liptak. A lifetime area resident, Janet graduated from Howland High School in 1962 and attended Youngstown State University for 3 years. She was a loving homemaker and a member of the Christ Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday school and volunteered in the nursery. She was an avid Howland football and basketball fan and she truly cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Janet is survived by her loving husband Raymond D. Miller whom she married Dec.28, 1968, 2 sons Kevin Miller of Youngstown, Brad (Kendra) Miller of Stow, OH, a daughter Amy (Jay) Hofmeister of Dublin, OH, and 4 grandchildren Chad Miller of North Lima, Morgan and Jake Hofmeister of Dublin, and Tyler Whitehead of East Palestine. She also leaves a sister Pamela (Mike) Weaver of Howland, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, many wonderful friends and her schnauzer "Mollie". Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday June 9, 2008 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 4-7 Sunday and from 9:30 AM until service time on Monday. The Rev. Donna Maree will officiate. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
