Janet Grafton

Janet Gosnell Grafton made her final special trip, Tuesday morning, St. Patrick's day, to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. She was born September 27, 1944 in Youngstown. She was a strong, beautiful, loving woman. Married to her husband Roger for 48 years. Both Janet and her husband graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1962. She also gave birth to the most caring and kind daughter Jennifer. Jennifer and her wonderful husband David Cable have two young beautiful daughters, Caroline and Julia, who were the best thing ever in Janet's life. Janet worked at Packard Electric until her daughter was born. She spent time raising Jennifer and also worked part time in retail at many fashion shops in the area. For a time, she sold Avon and Tupperware. She was very active in doing volunteer work. She taught CCD at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge and also at St. Michael's in Canfield. She volunteered for many years at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown which she really enjoyed. She also did some amateur photography and entered photos in the Canfield Fair. She was the daughter of the late Harold and LuElla "Sallie" Gosnell. She leaves two sisters, Sandra Hrusovski of Salem, Susan (Bill) Wayne of Austintown and a brother , Chip (Janice) Gosnell of Jonesboro, Indiana along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Mineral Ridge Chapel with the Father Richard Murphy presiding. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the funeral. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel.
