Janet Merle Parker

Services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Janet M. Parker, 88, of Austintown who passed away Friday afternoon at her home. Janet was born February 15, 1920 in Bedford, OH the daughter of George and Merle (Hibbard) Kick. She was a homemaker and a member of Austintown Community Church. Janet loved the time she spent with her family and friends but most of all the time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was very special to her. Her husband John A Parker, whom she married November 21, 1940, passed away November 16, 2002. Janet leaves two children; Rollie (Linda) Parker of Eldersburg MD, and Nora Mullen of Oxford Ct, eight grandchildren; John IV, Inta, Andy, Merry, Janet, Kathy, Jennifer, and Brian, eleven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband of almost 62 years, Janet is preceded in death by two sons; George and John A. (Sandy) Parker III, one brother; Kenneth Kick, and two sisters; Georgene Chamberlain, and Lenore Williams. Family and friends may call from noon until 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the charity or house of worship of the donor's choice.
