Jay E. White

Jay E. “Jasper” White of 674 Jane Street, Masury, Ohio, died Monday (1-2-2006) at home around 10:45 AM after an extended illness. He was 69. Mr. White was born in Boswell, Pennsylvania on September 18, 1936, a son of Burdiss E. and Ester T. (Stevens) White. He graduated from Hickory High School in 1954 and went on to serve our country in the U. S. Air Force achieving the rank of Airman 1st Class. Jay worked as a Store Room Clerk for Sharon Tube retiring in 1998 after 28 years of service. He was also a member of the Jerusalem Lodge #19 F&AM, Hartford, Ohio. In his spare time, Jasper enjoyed hunting; his three dogs, Sophie, Princess & Beulah; watching and listening to all sports, but most of all, he was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Survivors include: 3 daughters, Deborah Orr, Arizona, Donna “Beatle” Davis & Diane White, along with her companion, Gary Roth, all of Masury, Ohio; 3 sisters, Pearl Rushman, Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, Sue Tilton, California, and Dot Howard, Arizona; 3 grandchildren, Kelly, Brandy 3 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Spencer & Violet; a special sister-in-law, Trudy Terchila; and 3 nieces, Ronda, Morgan & Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna B. (Valimont) White, whom he married October 5, 1955, she died August 13, 1998; his brothers, Paul, John, Burt & Jim White; and his sister, Nancy Jane Cogley. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Dan Cesene, officiating. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-8 PM.
