Jean L. Rice, 62, of Warren, Ohio formerly of Masury, Ohio found peace with Christ on Sunday April 22, 2012. She had been receiving treatment at the Fresenius Dialysis Center for the past several years. Ms. Rice was born in Spangler, PA on April 10, 1950 the daughter of the late Vallie and Edna (Keith) Rice. She was a 1968 graduate of Brookfield High School and was a longtime active member of the Masury United Methodist Church, serving many years as Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, leader in Vacation Bible School, Choir, Church Council Board and Pathway's Program. Jean had served as sales manager of Lawson's Convenience Store, the One Stop Store, and had last worked at Truck World Motel. She enjoyed reading, camping, baking, crafts, musicals, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was the loving sister of four brothers Larry (Joann) Rice and Henry (Elaine) Rice both of Lordstown, OH, Dennis (Kathleen) Rice of Parma, OH and Daniel (Dorothy) Rice of Northfield Center, OH; two sisters, Delores (Jose) Vega of Melbourne, FL and Doris (Harlan) Dick of Yorkville, IL; 16 nieces and nephews, 24 great-nieces and nephews also survive. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carol Webster, two-great nephews, and a great-niece. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday April 27, 2012 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel at 6923 Warren-Sharon Road Brookfield, Ohio 44403. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Brookfield Twp. Cemetery in Brookfield, Ohio. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests contributions can be made to the Masury United Methodist Church.
