Austintown- Private funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Jean McClaskey age 76 of 5535 Red Apple Dr. who died Friday at her home. Jean was born June 8, 1927 in Mineral Ridge and was the daughter of Gordon E. and Leona (Hoffman) Bortz. She had formerly worked for Mears Insurance Agency as a secretary. Jean was a member of Youngstown Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting. Jean is survived by her husband Gilbert J. McClaskey whom she married August 16, 1947. She also leaves two daughters Linda and her husband Patrick Stanislaw of Austintown, Carol and her husband Charles Perkins also of Austintown, five grandchildren, Gregory (Lisa), Michelle (Joe), Patricia, Steven, Jonathan and four great grandchildren Ashley, Makinna, Luke and Zack. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Verna Bortz and a brother Gordon V. Bortz. The family requests that material contributions be made to the Youngstown Rescue Mission. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 5-8 Friday.
