Jean Povoluski Masters, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at The Manor at Autumn Hills in Niles, Ohio. She was born on June 7, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA daughter of Frank and Wanda (Hejnar) Povoluski. Jean received her nursing degree from Hahnemann Hospital and attended Villanova University. After raising her family Jean returned to nursing and worked at Community Skilled Nursing Centre for 20 years until she retired in 2008 after serving as the Director of Staff Development. Jean was a member of Christ Episcopal Church where she was active in vestry and served as a greeter. She was a president of the Warren G. Harding Panther Moms and the Trumbull County Women's Medical Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing, baking, cooking, sewing and knitting and has owned and loved many dogs over the years. Her favorite place to be was at the beach in Wildwood, NJ and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. Jean is survived by her children, Bill (Mary) Masters, Bob Masters, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Masters, Mona (Matt) Sheehan, and E.J. Masters; 3 grandchildren, Devlin and Aidan Sheehan and Autumn Heald; 3 great grandchildren, Braydon, Madison and Mason; two siblings, Diana (Jerry) Slomiana and John (Terry) Povoluski; two sisters-in-law, Roberta Davis and Joan Boden, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Yvonne Povoluski Strain and Francis (Sonny) Povoluski. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic Street NE, Warren, at 11:00 A.M. with an hour of calling prior at 10:00 A.M. at the church with The Reverend Jeffrey Baker officiating. Entombment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Ohio. Jean's family would like to express a very special and sincere thank you to the staff at the Manor at Autumn Hills and to Southern Care Hospice for the compassionate and tender care that was given to their mother.
