Jeanette Scott

Jeanette (Chapman) Scott, age 89, of Champion Twp. OH., formerly of Willard, NY., died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at St Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio at 1:30 PM. She was born on December 19, 1916 in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of the late Willard H. Chapman and Eva Minor Chapman. Mrs. Scott spent much of her life working as a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and shopping. In her early years, she played in the Chamber of Commerce Orchestra. She was preceded on June 17, 1996 by her former husband, Kenneth C. Scott, whom she married on May 9, 1936. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Donna) Norman Scott of Clarion, PA., and Daniel (Joan) Joseph Armitage of Dryden, NY., Two daughters, Anita Scott Vitullo of Lewisville, NC., and Peggy (Gerald) Scott Haines of Cortland, OH. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 4, 2006. Funeral service will be at Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM Friday, May 5, 2006 with calling hours one hour prior to the service. The Rev. David Vensel will be officiating.
