Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at Evangel Baptist Church in Boardman for Jeanne L. (Fagerstorm) Archer, 62, of Girard who passed away Saturday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Jeanne was born June 29, 1950 in Akron, the daughter of Bert and Eleanor (Lind) Fagerstrom. She was a graduate of Akron-Manchester High School class of 1968, attended Bethel College and received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Akron in 1973. Most recently Jeanne was a self-employed care giver. She loved children and had taught at Chapel Hill Christian School in Akron, and Howland Christian School, as well as being a substitute teacher for the Girard school system and a tutor in the McDonald school system. She was a member of the church where she taught Sunday school for 8 years and the Myeloma Support Group for Cancer. Jeanne enjoyed cooking but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jeanne leaves her husband Thomas Archer, whom she married December 28, 1971, three children, Joshua (Kate) Archer of Trenton, MO, Emily (Kyle) Fisher of Reynoldsburg, OH, and Sarah Archer of Girard. Jeanne also leaves five grandchildren, Micah and Eleanor Fisher of Reynoldsburg, and Grace, Zachary and Lillian Archer of Trenton, as well as two brothers, David (Vicky) Fagerstrom of Canal Fulton, and Timothy (Melinda) Fagerstrom of Akron, and one sister Susan (Mark) Shannon of Akron. Besides her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by one brother Daniel Fagerstrom. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel and again from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the church where services will begin at 11 AM.
