JEANNE L. BECKMAN Jeanne L. Beckman , 86, died early Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. She was born May 5, 1927 in Hancock County, WV, the daughter of Charles Thomas and Helen Grandstaff Hall. Mrs. Beckman was a co-owner of The Pedal Shop, a craft store from 1968 until 1982. Previously, she was employed at the Vindicator and in the management and accounting offices at the Strouss Department Store in downtown Youngstown. Jeanne was a 1945 graduate of Canfield High School. She was a loving and faithful member of Christ's Church in Boardman. She was also a member of Miriam Chapter No. 278 Order of the Eastern Star, The Bosiant, where she was a past secretary and a life time member of the Good Bears of the World. Jeanne was a life long crafter and an avid collector of teddy bears. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking and watching old T.V. shows. Her husband of 58 years, Clare E. Beckman, whom she married September 17, 1950, died February 8, 2008. Jeanne is survived by her son, Dale E. Beckman of Youngstown. At Jeanne's request, there are no calling hours or services.
