BROOKFIELD- Jeannette M. Fortunato, 80 years old, went into the arms of the Lord on Friday, January 24, 2014. She was born in Youngstown on May 12, 1933 to the late Steve and Edith Glazzy. Jeannette was a Chaney High School graduate and lived in the Youngstown area all of her life. She had a strong faith and was a member of New Life Lutheran Church in Liberty where she taught as a Sunday School teacher. She later joined Zion Lutheran Church. Jeannette enjoyed cooking and bird watching, but most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family. Those celebrating Jeannette's life are her loving husband of 58 years, Louis Fortunato Jr.; her children, Louis (Cheryl) Fortunato III, David Fortunato, and Lee Ann Fortunato-Heltzel; her grandchildren, Lynn, Rich, Nick, Chris, and Danielle; her great-grandson, Landon; her sister, Betty Schumacher; and her brother, Steve (Dorothy) Glazzy. Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from 4PM-7PM on Monday, January 27 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave. The family will also receive friends on Tuesday, January 28 from 10AM-11AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Rd., where the funeral service will follow at 11AM. Interment will take place at Tod Homestead Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Jeannette's memory to Zion Lutheran Church.
